The Commission Process
I have greatly enjoyed taking on more and more commissions as of late, especially pet portraits.. It’s always a pleasure to help create a meaningful and lasting piece of a good friend and looking at cats and dogs all day is a pretty cool gig. My pieces are all created with high quality materials and sealed with acid free UV protection to make sure they’ll hold up for many years to come.
References
Gather as many as you can! I love seeing a variety of pictures and often what might be missing in one can be inferred from another. I pride myself on being to make great paintings even from some less than high quality photos as long as I have a variety. I love to see nice crisp photos, but many of my favorite pieces are the result of creatively salvaging unclear photos.
Pricing
My prices start at $125 for an 8x10” painting on paper and scales with size and complexity. Please feel free to reach out in the contact form below and I will provide you with a precise quote.
I work first come first serve and take deposits to hold your spot in line. The remainder plus shipping costs are due at completion of the project. Unless the piece is quoted over $200, this deposit is $50 and can be paid here.
Timescale
Please let me know if there is a specific timeline you need the painting within (birthday, Christmas… etc.) prior to putting down a deposit. I do my paintings in order that they are received and wait times are approximate. If any special materials are required (such as a wood panel) that may add to the wait time.
